Don't Fall into the Black Hole of Confusion

By Pastor Kevin Troyer

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

There is no denying that in today’s world there is a lot to be confused about. Men saying they are women and others having to take their word for it. Women allowed to legally have their children killed with the help of the government simply because they don’t want them. Giving children who are not even allowed to vote or drive cars, the right to take permanent steps in destroying their bodies. These things are not only confusing, but truly sad and seemingly despairing. These are things that I wouldn’t have even imagined when I was a kid, but here they are now and there is no hiding from it. But thankfully we have a God that loves clarity and direction, and He has given us all we need for direction through this map of confusion in our world. All we need to do is rely on Him and His word to give us what we need exactly when we need it. Praise be to God and the knowledge of the Truth!
